Selected Train Connections to Major Cities:

Frankfurt Airport Train Station offers connections to any German or European city with German Rail (Deutsche Bahn). The Train Station has two main terminals connected by corridors:

  • the Regional Train Station (next to Terminal 1), from which S-Bahn commuter trains lines (S8 and S9) depart for central Frankfurt and the central station.
  • the Square long-distance train station with several high-speed ICE trains departing to the majors cities like Cologne, Stuttgart, Hanau…

Travel easily and comfortably from Frankfurt Airport Train Station in Germany or across Europe within less than 3 hours:

 Frankfurt - Hanau: 40 minutes
 Frankfurt - Köln: 47 minutes
 Frankfurt - Stuttgart: 1 hour 14 minutes
 Frankfurt - Strasbourg: 2 hours 7 minutes

Frankfurt Airport Train Station is located next to Terminal 1. Corridors connect the Airport to the Regional Train Station (platforms 1-3) or The Square long-distance train station (platforms 4-7). The connection between terminals 1 and 2 is provided by Skyline, an automatic train.

 To/from Frankfurt Airport Train Station Terminal 1: access by walk from corridors
 To/from Frankfurt Airport Train Station Terminal 2: access by Skyline in two minutes.

How to get to the city centre:

Frankfurt Airport Train Station is directly connected to Central Frankfurt and the Hauptbahnhof (central station), reachable within 10 to 12 minutes by S-Bahn commuter trains (S8 and S9 lines), located platforms 1-3 beneath Terminal 1.

There are many bus lines, and the most important are bus line 61 to Südbahnhof in Frankfurt; line 900 to the station Oberhausen and bus 73 to Kelsterbach. Only bus lines 61, 68, 73 and 975 stop at Terminal 2. You can reach Terminal 1 with Skyline in two minutes.

The Taxi stands are located in front of the Arrival Hall in both terminals. To reach Frankfurt it approximately takes 20 minutes (non rush-hours).

Car rental counters are located in both terminals.
