Travelling to the other side of the world to see other cultures is something Kiwis are used to doing, and Rail Europe can make travelling by train around Europe really easy.

We can give you access to all of the big train operators in Europe, such as the Eurostar, Thalys, TGV, the Spanish Renfe, NTV and Trenitalia.
With tickets and passes for these trains you get to choose from 11,000 routes for your big adventure in Europe.

Where can I go?

With over 15,000 destinations in Europe, you can go far and wide! There’s a few ways to make your trip easier to plan, but for now imagine you are have decided to explore Austria and Germany.
First we recommend you get a Eurail Austria-Germany Pass which means you can jump on and off the trains in both countries as and when you like.
You’ll have two months with five to 10 days of travel which means you can visit the opera in Vienna and the mountains of Saltsburg and then travel through the countryside to Germany for eclectic Berlin, Munich and Cologne.
You can take a trip to the Black Forest and back into Austria to the mountains around Sol. And it’s easy because you have a Eurail Austria Germany Pass. Wherever you decide to travel by train in Europe, you are in safe hands with Rail Europe.

Tickets and Passes

As you are travelling to the other side of the world, you’ll probably want to see quite a bit of Europe on your trip. Usually we suggest point to point tickets if you are only making a couple of train journeys but our Eurail Passes are better suited to anyone who is staying for a while and visiting a few cities or countries.
In fact our Eurail Passes are perfect as they have been designed for people who have permanent residency outside Europe, The Russian Federation and Turkey.
The most flexible Rail Pass is the Eurail Global Pass, and it allows you to travel throughout 24 countries. You can travel from 15 consecutive days over three months and you can jump on and off different train operators, so you could use the TGV, Thalys, Spanish Renfe, and Italian Trenitalia all in one trip, seeing loads of countries.
The Eurail Select Pass is great if you have selected a few countries close to one another, as you have unlimited travel through three, four or five bordering countries.
We also have, single country passes so if you decide to tour France, you could get the France Rail Passand take the TGV to up and down the country, or you may decide Italy is the place for you, so we’d suggest the Eurail Italy Pass for you to soak up the Italian towns and the coast with Trenitalia. We can help you with timetables and city information too.
This year over 1.7 million travellers will make an amazing journey with Rail Europe and we hope you are one of them. Your journey begins here. Enjoy!
